Larisa Somova - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Education of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Chief Researcher, Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology of G.P. Somov Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russian Federation (Vladivostok, Russia). Author of about 290 scientific papers , 7 monographs on the pathomorphology and pathogenesis of infectious diseases relevant for the Far Eastern region of Russia (Far Eastern scarlet fever, neuroinfections caused by viruses of the tick-borne encephalitis complex, hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome), as well as the ultrastructure of bacterial and viral pathogens.
